I am a music lover. I mainly listen to metal, most sub-genres, but I am a metal head. I love the band Ghost, and I will admit, it took me listening to the Meliora album a few spins. Once I did, I listened to the entire catalog and haven't looked back. Great music!

Ghost (Band) |
At some point in time, I had Ghost playing, more than likely getting ready in the morning. The wife heard the music and asked who it was. I told her, and I thought it was over at that point. I was wrong.
I was riding in my wife's car, going who knows where at this point, and Ghost was playing from her Spotify account. According to our daughter, this was a nonstop occurrence for a couple, maybe few weeks, and apparently she became an addict of the unholy music herself. When it was announced that Ghost would be coming to the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, I mentioned it and she proclaimed her desire to go so profoundly I thought she might wet herself. A feat only one other band on the planet seemed to be able to illicit. We'll move on.

Muse - Only said other band that could... You get the picture. |
We made the trek to Universal Studios in Orlando where the Hard Rock Live is. It's a great venue set just outside the park in the Citywalk area. We purchased seats up in the balcony. Originally, we had a great view of the stage, at least until Ghost's ritual began and then so many people up in front of us, we had a hard time seeing the stage. The people next to us went to complain to someone, and before I knew it, we had a table stage left with an incredible unobstructed view of the show, I might start to complain more often.

Ghost from our new view |
As is the usual case, Ghost opened up with Square Hammer, the first track off the new EP, Popestar. I say usual case due to they usually open with the first track off whatever latest release, at least that is what I have read, and they have stated as such in several interviews.
They of course played a good number of fan favorites. Papa Emeritus III playing to the crowd in between songs in his devilish debonair manner as he does. Ever the showman. The set list was as follows.
Not having seen a Ghost ritual before, I was not entirely sure what to expect. After having seen this performance, I would put the show up there with the likes of Iron Maiden, whom I've seen six or seven times now. Great show, and I would certainly go again if they came back around.
